How do I fund my account?

You can fund your account using the following methods:

Credit or debit card: You can begin trading as soon as your credit or debit card has been approved.

Bank transfer: We accept bank transfers to fund your account. This normally takes 3 – 5 days and then you can begin trading.

Stock transfer: You can begin collateral trading by transferring your existing stock portfolio to Saxo Bank.

Which credit / debit cards does Saxo Bank accept?

Saxo Bank accepts the following cards:

  • Debit card (Visa debit, Visa Electron, Visa Dankort)
  • UK debit card (Switch / Maestro, Visa-Delta, Visa Electron)
  • Credit card (Visa, MasterCard)

We currently support cards issued in these countries. 

How do I transfer securities

Saxo Bank only accepts online security transfer requests for stocks and fixed income instruments. To access this module you will need to have a client ID and password. The module is available in the downloadable SaxoTrader platform or the web-based SaxoWebTrader under the menu Accounts.

Once you have accessed your account by entering your client ID and password you will be able to access the module to transfer securities from under the menu Accounts. Below you can see where the menu is located in our trading platform:
